Speaker 1: Welcome to our next episode of The Game Changer Podcast. Please join me in welcoming Kit Yong from StarHub.

Kit Yong: Thank you.

Speaker 1: So why don't we with start first with StarHub? Can you tell us a little bit about your mission, your vision?

Kit Yong: Right. At StarHub Enterprise, our vision is to be a smart city service provider. So that we can enable smart, safe, sustainable society for the enterprise and citizens. That is where we are heading towards too, at a backbone of our hybrid multi- car architecture, to create a new services for the smart nation, for Singapore.

Speaker 1: So we recently made a big announcement with HTX, IMDA, of course, StarHub and SSDF. So what are the opportunities for stand alone 5G rollout?

Kit Yong: Now, in this particular use case, it is for emergency response. Now, and the use of AR, AI, requires high bandwidth and in addition, because it is a mission- critical event, it requires low latency as well. And finally, because this is a public service where we transmit the data from 5G to the command center, needs to be secure. So these are the three important aspects of using 5G, which fulfill this criteria. That is where we see 5G use case very relevant for this use case.

Speaker 1: Excellent. Then if you continue the thought here, look at opportunities for business, for the Singapore Smarter City initiative, where do you see the opportunities?

Kit Yong: From our region as a smart city service provider, enabling a unified network architecture for mobile networks, Wi- Fi Networks, access network, data center networks, the subsystem network, which is the IoT networks into a single unified network architecture, enables opportunity for enterprises, government, citizen, to share data seamlessly in the hybrid multi- cloud architecture that is powered by AI. And that's how there'll be new use cases, new actionable insights, that can be delivered with this new architecture for the smart nation. Thus, we see that 5G plays an important role, especially for the fuel operation, to deliver a near real- time latency for the use cases that's required.

Speaker 1: Excellent. Very exciting space. Thank you for joining us at The Game Changer Podcast.
