Jason co-founded OctoML and serves as its Chief Product Officer. He holds a Ph.D. in computational biology, during which he crafted hierarchical Bayesian statistical models for categorizing cancer tumor expression data. 

He also created advanced Markov chain Monte Carlo methods to uncover gene regulatory networks within this data through Bayesian networks. He utilized these methods on the world's most extensive database of human genomes at Human Longevity Inc. This experience paved his way into the core of machine learning at Nervana, where he focused on expanding the boundaries of what machine learning can achieve.
